About

Welcome to my blog at Online Investing Guru. My name is John Murphy and I’m located in the UK.

To make sure you understand what experience I have with online investing I’ll give you a quick history from when I started until now.

Perhaps I should give you the rationale behind why I became interested in online investing in the first place. I have a full time job that pays pretty well but even with that the potential for me to retire and maintain a reasonable standard of living wasn’t that good.

Currently interest rates for savers are at an all time low and even when I started investigating they were nowhere near a level that I thought would be high enough to earn sufficient return for my needs.

So, I decided that there must be alternative investment options that could provide a good rate of return and all I had to do was to find them. Luckily the internet was developing and the global reach meant that anyone could be sitting in their home and doing research across the globe.

The first programme I came across was PIPS. This promised a return of 2% a day on your investment and with the ability to compound the possible returns were exceptionally good.

Unfortunately for reasons beyond my knowledge the programme was destined to fail and in fact the owners were arrested.

Whilst this was a big disappointment I could see that this type of online investing should and could work. So, over the years I have learned more, joined more, lost more and earned more in regard to online investing. Like many people I currently have several programmes where I am invested. They range from what I call active programmes where I control how things work and the profit I make to entirely passive ones where I hand over money to others to make a profit on my behalf.

I’ll admit I’m very much a glass half full kind of guy so do feel positive in the investments I make. That doesn’t always mean that I make a profit but by using a sensible approach and ensuring that I diversify where I invest I feel that the balance of success is in my favour.

The aim of authoring this blog is to educate and inform people about online investing and hopefully to steer them in the right direction. I always write an honest opinion of a programme and will continue to do so. I’d like to thank you for reading my blog and hope that together we can prosper.

In many of my posts I use referral links to showcase a particular programme but in line with my assertion above I will only put forward programmes that I think are worth investing in, hence any fees I receive reflect that ethos.

Richard, I had a quick look at the site and to be frank thought it fairly amateurish as I tried three different browsers and looked as bad. I do have some concern about the 5% a day as that equates to 35% a week which I would guess seems very high for arbitrage. Also, looking at some of the results they showed they were getting returns of circa 9% on an event. Again, that seems pretty high especially as so many were of a similar amount. From what I’ve seen in the past arbs normally return between 1% and 3% although of course higher amounts are possible but they tend to be rare.
I will try to do some more research as my first look was brief but if you are thinking of making an investment I’d suggest keeping it small to start with until you gain confidence over their claims.
